Welcome. We’re glad you’re here.

This space was born out of my personal experience with a Guardian ad Litem named Aisha Blanchard Collins, whose actions, and inactions, contributed to deep trauma and injustice in my custody case. Like many others, I entered the system hoping it would serve the best interest of my children. Instead, I encountered a process that silenced our voices, ignored evidence, and empowered individuals with unchecked authority.

Based on what I experienced, I believe Ms. Collins did a disservice to my daughters. She overlooked their needs rather than advocated for them, and in doing so, caused further harm. In my opinion, she is not well-suited for GAL work. The report Ms. Collins filed appeared to reflect a limited understanding of the facts and failed to account for critical context. Her conclusions ultimately contributed to a harmful outcome for my children and left us feeling dismissed and powerless in a system that was supposed to protect them. For my daughters, it reinforced the painful realization that their safety and voices could be disregarded by those entrusted with their well-being.

This is a safe, anonymous, and empowering space for parents, caregivers, and families impacted by bias or abuse from GALs — especially those whose children weren’t protected, and whose voices were dismissed, disbelieved, or distorted. Whether you’ve witnessed favoritism, collusion, or financial manipulation in the court process, you are not alone.
